چکیده

Background: Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory immune mediated skin disease characterized by dense infiltrates of immunocytes especially macrophages. Cross talk between and keratinocytes thought to mediate the disease. Hparanase 2 inhibits activity Heparanase 1 which involved in this cross degradation heparin sulphate chains basement membrane extra cellular matrix (ECM). Objective: To assess Heparanase2 psoriasis through its immunohistochemical expression lesional perilesional patients. Patients Methods: This prospective case control study was carried out on total number 60 subjects, they included 30 patients with chronic plaque age gender matched apparently normal subjects as group. Skin biopsies were taken for evaluation expression. Results: Our results showed significant difference lesional, groups regarding status epidermal (P = 0.038). All negative while 24 (80%) cases positive 6 (20%) cases, 27 (90%) 3 (10%) cases. There no three studied dermal 0.318). Conclusion: Downregulation could be incriminated pathogenesis psoriasis. have protective role skin.

Cathepsin D expression in chronic plaque psoriasis: an immunohistochemical study.

Cathepsins are lysosomal cysteine proteases, which are involved in a variety of physiologic processes such as proenzyme activation, antigen presentation, tissue remodeling, bone matrix resorption, and pathologic processes such as facilitating tumor invasion and modulating the process of programmed cell death. This study aimed to evaluate the pattern of cathepsin D (CD) expression in chronic pla...

Histopathological Evaluation and Analysis of Immunohistochemical Expression of Bcl-2 Oncoprotein in Colorectal Carcinoma

Abstract Introduction: Colorectal cancer is the third most prevalent malignancy with high mortality rate, necessitating markers that predict survival and guide the treatment. Previous studies have examined the immunohistochemical expression of Bcl-2, an apoptotic marker, in colorectal carcinoma, but results have been contradictory. Objectives: To evaluate the histopathological featu...

Upregulation of Endothelin-1/Endothelin A Receptor Expression Correlates with Heparanase Expression in Ovarian Carcinoma

Background: Heparanase and endothelin-1/endothelin A receptor (ET-1/ETAR) expressions increase in cancer. This condition enhances tumor progression and correlates with poor survival. Limited data are documented regarding the role of heparanase and ET-1/ETAR in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC). We sought to characterize the correlation between heparanase and ET-1/ETAR in EOC.Methods: Thirty patie...

Immunohistochemical markers for arthritis in psoriasis.

OBJECTIVES To examine the immunohistological features in the involved skin of patients with psoriatic arthritis (PA) (n = 15), compared with those in involved skin from patients with psoriasis but no arthritis (n = 5), and with a group with normal skin (n = 4), to identify markers for arthritis in psoriasis. METHODS Skin was obtained from patients by 6 mm punch biopsy and normal skin was prov...

An Immunohistochemical Study Of P63 Protein Expression In Meningioma

Background and Objective: Histological grading has prognostic and therapeutic implications in meningioma. However, histological criteria are sometimes not fulfilled to predict the biological behavior of meningiomas. P63 gene is a novel P53 family member, known as tumor suppressor factor, with multiple isoforms and shows high expression in many normal and neoplastic human tissues. In this stu...
